Hymn                    264

Introductory Sentence
Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life. Deuteronomy 30:19b-20a

Blessed be God
Blessed be Gods reign forever. Amen.

Opening prayer:
God, supreme, eternal and good, you sent your Son, to crush the power of Satan over the world
and to form us as brothers and sisters in the one body of Christ. Renew us day by day with the
power of the Holy Spirit, so that in our struggles against evil we may already know the victory,
which your son has gained for us, for he is alive and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Call to Confession
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that
we can, with reverence, serve you. Let us bring before God our sins, that he may take away the record
of our sin. Psalm 130:3, 4

Confession     For our lack of care for the gifts of creation,
Lord, have mercy
Lord, have mercy

For our neglect of the needs of others,
                        Christ, have mercy
Christ, have mercy

For our failure to seek you, our life.
Lord, have mercy
Lord, have mercy

Absolution
May God who is faithful and just forgive us and renew us through Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.

Gloria                   Page 17

Collect           Let us pray that the Lord of life will work through us to protect all creation and enjoy the fullness of life according to his ways.

God, mighty to save, you have given us the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit: strengthen us to resist all immorality, injustice, corruption, abuse of power, damage to the environment and subtle persecution and to fight at your side against the tyranny of evil; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
