National Christian Council of Sri Lanka Sunday  Theme: Treasures of the kingdom  To promote ecumenical witness, seeking the unity that our Lord Jesus Christ prayed for, in realizing the fullness of God’s reign here on earth, the National Christian Council was formed in 1914. The Anglican, Methodist, Church of South India, Sri Lanka Baptist Sangamaya, Christian Reformed Church, Salvation Army, the presbytery of Lanka are members of the NCC. The Associate members are the Assemblies of God of Ceylon, Four square Gospel in Sri Lanka, Lanka Lutheran Church, Church of the American Ceylon Mission. Moses was a murderer, David an adulterer, Peter denied knowing Jesus, while Paul described himself as the chief among sinners.             Whilst one side people struggle with sin and its effects on the other hand there are many who are living with failures, fears and problems in life. There are those who make many attempts to fulfill life’s dreams and ambitions and fail. There are those whose experiences of the past, place upon them suspicion and fear in the future. Friends! Every during the month of May-June we come together to be involved in mission work to celebrate our ordination to the priesthood which falls on May 6th.
