Hymn - O worship the King all-glorious above,

Introductory Sentence
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out  of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Mathew 13:41&43a

Silence

Blessed be God
Blessed be Gods reign forever. Amen.

Opening prayer
God, who’s care is for all people, you show forbearance to your children, because you give repentance for sins. Let that mercy not leave us complacent, but eager to learn patience and compassion; and as you have made us righteous, teach us also to be kind. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Call to Confession
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my  anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Let us seek God’s forgiveness with a sincere and true heart. Psalm 139:23-24

Silence

Confession
God of compassion, in our weakness we have sinned against you and you my sisters and brothers. In our impatience we have failed to live up to your ways. Our thoughts, words and deeds have caused you and one another pain. Forgive us for the sake of your Son who patiently waits until we turn to him in our hearts and receives us as a child who was lost and is found. Amen. (@LD)

Absolution
Hear the good news. Through Jesus Christ we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins. God hears. God cares. God forgives. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven. Amen.

Gloria
Glory be to God on high, and in earth peace, good will towards all, we praise thee, we bless thee, we worship thee, we glorify thee, we give thanks to thee for thy great glory, O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father almighty.

O Lord, the only-begotten Son Jesus Christ; O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, that takest way the sin of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takest away the sin of the world, have mercy upon us. Thou that takest away the sin of the world, receive our prayer.

Thou that sittest at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon us. For thou only art holy; thou only art the Lord: thou only, O Christ, with the Holy Spirit, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen

Collect
Almighty and eternal God, you have sown good seed, for us to be your people: In your own time bring us to closer unity and fellowship with you and with one another, so that every member of your Church may serve you in patience, holiness and obedience giving all to Jesus; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Sermon

The Affirmation of Faith
We believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father, through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

Intercession
your response to “Lord hear our prayer” will be “let your cry come un to you”

Living in a world that is different to God’s kingdom we persevere in prayer with faith.

We thank God for sowing us as seeds for his kingdom. That as we grow beside the weeds of this world, God will give us patience to endure the difficulties and the challenges that we face when we live kingdom values and to know his love, that we may be found worthy at the Lords coming again.

We pray for the world as it battles the Corvid - 19 pandemic. That the affected will experience God’s grace and healing touch, that the leaders of nations will have at heart the people, as they take measures to stop the spread and for people to adhere to health guidelines and be instruments that curb the spread of the virus.

We pray for all people who are struggling to regain their livelihoods due to the Corvid-19 pandemic. That the leaders of our nation will be mindful of the self-employed, daily wage earners, small business’, those who give tuition, and all others who struggle financially, very specially for such people in our own congregation. That God will intervene to bring relief to these people and their hope will not go vain.

We pray for our parish and it’s people. For those who travel from afar to worship on Sundays that God will bless their commitment and for those who are sick, the old and lonely and cannot be present to worship that God will be to them a companion. And for all our members to come into a closer relationship with God, walking in his ways and communing with hum daily, that we may become a truly forgiven, reconciled and loving community.

We pray for the diocese as it seeks to choose a chief shepherd. That God in his mercy will give us a Shepherd who will seek the lost, bind the wounds of all, and have space to carry every member in is arms, one who will keep before him Jesus the Good Shepherd.

We pray for the Parliamentary elections. That God will give wisdom and guidance to people as they prepare to vote, that they would have the courage to choose people who are honest, truthful and have a heart of service and sacrifice and who will speak for the needs of the people

Creator God, you made us all in your image: may we discern you in all that we see, and serve you in all that we do; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Greeting of Peace
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Rom 12:12

The peace of the Lord be always with you
All And also with you

Offertory Hymn

A farmer in a field sowed good and healthy seeds.
But in the cover of the night, somebody planted weeds.

The wheat grew tall and strong, but thistles flourished, too.
The workers saw the mix of them and wondered what to do.

The farmer wisely said, "They'll grow as one today,
But when we harvest all the wheat, we'll throw the weeds away."

O Lord, we want to know why evil prospers here —
Why, next to love and justice, grow such hatred, pride and fear.

God, may we humbly see the harvest still is yours;
And one day we'll be blessed to find that love is what endures.

Offertory prayer
All things come from you and for your own do we give you, Creator and Lord of the universe, ever adored by the holy Angels. Accept these gifts which we present at your holy table and with them the dedication of our lives for your service, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

The Great Thanksgiving

The Lord be with you
And also with you

Lift up your hearts
We lift them to the Lord

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
It is right to give thanks and praise.

It is indeed right, it is our duty and our joy, at all times and in all places to give you thanks and praise, holy Father, heavenly King, almighty and eternal God.

And now we give you thanks that you have called us your children and give us patience to endure the evil of this world that we may be found faithful at the time of harvest.

Therefore, with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, we proclaim your great and glorious name, for ever praising you, and saying:

Holy, holy, holy Lord God of power and might
Heaven and earth are full of your glory
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest.

Holy indeed are you, and blessed truth, Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, for of your tender mercy you gave your only Son, Jesus Christ, to take our nature upon him, and to suffer death upon the Cross for our redemption, where by his one oblation, and satisfaction, for the sins of the whole world; and instituted, and his holy Gospel commanded us to continue a perpetual memorial of that his precious death, until his coming again.

Who in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat, this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper, he took the cup; and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying: Drink this, all of you, this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. Amen.

And so, Lord and heavenly Father, we your humble servants celebrate and here make before your Divine Majesty, with these your holy gifts, and remember what your Son has commanded us to do in memory of his blessed passion and precious death, his mighty resurrection, and glorious ascension; we offer to you our heartfelt thanks for the numerous benefits won for by the same, and looking for his coming again with power and great glory.

We earnestly pray that out of your fatherly goodness you would accept on high this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, praying that by the merits and death of your Son Jesus Christ, and through faith in his blood, we and all your whole Church may obtain forgiveness of our sins, and all other benefits of his passion.

And we humbly pray, most merciful Father, that you would send down your holy and life giving Spirit upon us and upon these your gifts, that the Bread that we break may be the communion of the Body of Christ, and the Cup that we bless may be the communion of the blood of Christ and that we may be fulfilled with your grace and blessing, and made one body in your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

And here we offer O Lord, ourselves, our souls and bodies to be a reasonable, holy and living sacrifice, and pray that you accept it, not weighing our merits but pardoning our offences through Jesus Christ our Lord.

All By whom and with whom and in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory be to you, Gracious Father, world without end. Amen.

BREAKING OF THE BREAD
Deacon: The bread which we break is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?
All: We being many are one bread, one body for we all partake of the one bread. (1 Corinthians 10:16-17)

THE COMMUNION

Deacon: As our Saviour Christ has taught us, we now pray
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. The Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

The peace of the Lord be always with you
All And also with you.

Prayer of approach
We do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in your manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under your table. But you are the same Lord, whose nature is always to have mercy: Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of your dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, and that we may evermore dwell in him, and he is in us. Amen.

THE INVITATION
Deacon: Draw near with faith and take this Holy Sacrament to your comfort.
All: Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.

After communion
Deacon: Give thanks to the Lord for God is gracious.
All: God’s mercy endures forever.

Post communion sentence
"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth." Lamentations 3:25-27

Post Communion Prayer
Lord, be close to us, whom you have enriched with the gifts of heaven, and grant that we may pass from our old ways into new life according to the risen Christ, who lives for ever and ever. Amen.

Blessing
The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; And the blessing of God almighty + the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, by among you and remain with you always. Amen.

Deacon: Go in peace and serve the Lord.
All: In the name of Christ. Amen.
