THE AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
We believe in one God, the Father, the almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father, through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Intercession your response to “Lord hear our prayer” will be “let your cry come un to you”
We give thanks to God for making his presence felt in our country through the Church of Ceylon spread across this land. We thank God for the contributions of the clergy and laity who have seen the Church of Ceylon grow into what it is today. We pray that Christ the head of the church will continue to guide the Church of Ceylon as it keeps journeying into the future.
We thank God for the diverse gifts, talents and resources and the rich culture and heritage that the Church of Ceylon possesses. We pray, that as a community committed to the task of establishing God’s reign and kingdom values here in our land, we would be committed to include the richness of all what God has given to his church for the glory of his name.
We pray for the Bishops and the clergy of the Church of Ceylon that with a true heart and a pure conscience and illuminated by God’s vision will seek to fulfill God’s agendas, uphold God’s law and listen to God’s voice and make God’s purposes it’s desire to fulfill.
We pray for the ministries of the church of Ceylon as it becomes relevant amidst the multicultural and multi ethnical communities of this land, that the church will be true witnesses to Christs by being a source of strength and comfort to the broken and wounded, to the poor and downtrodden, to the oppressed and marginalized standing for the principles of justice, peace, reconciliation and oneness.
We pray for the election of a new Bishop in the Diocese of Colombo and seek God’s wisdom and discernment to the Diocesan council and for the integrity of the process to be upheld by those tasked with conducting the elections, and for those who feel called by God to the higher calling of chief shepherd, that God’s good and perfect will to be done for our Diocese.
We pray for our Country and it’s leaders. That there will be honesty, transparency and integrity in governance and a society where justice and freedom prevails. We also pray that God will grant wisdom to the voters of this land to be wise in their selection of representatives to parliament.
We continue to be in prayer for the world and it’s healing of Corvid-19. That God’s hand of grace will be with all those who are affected and God’s guidance upon leader of nations that right decisions would be taken in containing the virus.
God of peace, the ultimate reality that you are, who has made Sri Lanka so wondrously fair, our out your Holy Spirit on your church, that all the peoples of our land, being led through the knowledge of your truth to worship you in the beauty of holiness, be well and happy, and live for your glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Greeting of Peace
Beloved, let us love one another for love is of God.
The peace of the Lord be always with you
All And also with you
Offertory Hymn
All And also with you
Offertory Hymn
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
Offertory prayer
All things come from you and for your own do we give you, Creator and Lord of the universe, ever adored by the holy Angels. Accept these gifts which we present at your holy table and with them the dedication of our lives for your service, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER
The Lord be with you
And also with you
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give God thanks and praise.
It is right and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Gracious Father, creator of heaven and earth.
And now we give you thanks that in Jesus we have one who is humble and gentle and in heart at who’s feet we lay our burdens.
Therefore, we praise you, joining our voices with angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of your name.
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
While we do His good will,

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Holy indeed are you almighty Father Eternal Sovereign who in all your gifts and works, manifests your holiness to all humanity. Holy is your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ through whom you did order the universe. And Holy is your ever blessed Spirit who reveals all things, even the deep things of you O God.
Just as you yourself are holy, so also you created us in your own image that we might live in holy fellowship. And when we disobeyed your commandments, you did not abandon us but you guided us as a merciful Father, you revealed yourself to us through the sages, the Law and the Prophets, and through your redeeming acts in history, and when the time was ripe, you came among us through your Son Jesus, whom you sent into the world to share our human nature in order that the Lord Jesus might revive your own image in us.
Generous God, Jesus loves us and sacrificed self for us and heralded the new life in breaking bread with companions.
On the very night that he was betrayed to suffer death upon the cross for us, the Lord Jesus took bread and when he had given thanks to you almighty Father, he broke it and gave it to his disciples saying: Take, eat, this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same manner after supper, he took the cup also, and after giving thanks, he gave it to them saying: Drink, all of you from this, for this is my blood of the new covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink, it in remembrance of me.
Great is the mystery of faith
All: We proclaim your death, O Lord, and live by your resurrection, and await your coming again
And so Father, we present this bread and cup in communion with your whole church, in fellowship with all the saints, and in union with all creation we celebrate your Son’s death and victory; giving thanks for all that Christ has done for us; for preparing us for all that lies ahead, as we receive the benefits of Christ’s life, death, resurrection and session in glory, and we eagerly await the heavenly banquet after Christ’s coming again.
And we entreat you most merciful God to hear us and send your All Holy Spirit on † us and on these your gifts, that they being blessed and hallowed by that life giving power, may be for us the Body and Blood of your most dearly loved Son, to the end that we receiving the same may be sanctified and filled with your grace and heavenly blessing.
All Accept this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; make us one body in Jesus Christ our Lord, † by whom and with whom and in whom in the unity of the Holy Spirit all honour and glory be to you almighty Father, world without end. Amen.
BREAKING OF THE BREAD
Deacon: The bread which we break is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?
All: We being many are one bread, one body for we all partake of the one bread. (1 Corinthians 10:16-17)
THE COMMUNION
Deacon: As our Saviour Christ has taught us, we now pray
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. The Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

Hymn
But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
